Game Recap
The Clinton Prairie Lady Gophers downed the Clinton Central Bulldogs 12-1 in 5 innings in their first round of the HHC tourney. Holly Loveless got the win pitching 4 solid innings before Katelynn Boller took over in the 5th. The Lady Bulldogs got a HR in the first inning, but only managed 2 more hits. CP scored a run in the 2nd, before running up 7 runs in the 3rd. Molly Thomas added a run in the 5th on a bunt by Peyton Ray, and a double by Cam Cornell had runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs when Kylie Burris stepped up and slammed her first ever HS home run over the left field fence, a walk off 3 run homer to 10 run rule the win. Loveless led all batters going 3 for 3, followed by Layne Snyder, Erin Woods, Kylie Burris, Peyton Ray, and Cam Cornell, all going 2 for 3. CP will once again face Sheridan in the semi-finals Sat. at noon.
